The International Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science (IJAACS) maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. Academic integrity and originality are foundational values of our journal, and all submitted manuscripts are expected to meet the highest ethical standards.
What Constitutes Plagiarism?
Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:
-
Copying text from previously published work without proper citation.
-
Paraphrasing substantial portions of others’ work without appropriate acknowledgment.
-
Using data, tables, figures, or images without permission or credit.
-
Self-plagiarism, or reusing significant content from the author's own previously published works without citation.
-
Submitting someone else’s work under one's own name.
Plagiarism Screening Process
All manuscripts submitted to IJAACS are screened using advanced plagiarism detection tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate before entering the peer review process.
-
A similarity index of more than 15–20% (excluding references and standard phrases) may lead to desk rejection or a request for revision.
-
Manuscripts with evidence of unethical content reuse may be immediately rejected without further review.
Consequences of Plagiarism
If plagiarism is identified at any stage (pre- or post-publication), the editorial office will take the following actions:
-
Rejection of the manuscript or withdrawal of the published article.
-
Blacklisting of the author(s) for future submissions.
-
Notification to the author’s affiliated institutions or funding bodies.
-
Publication of a retraction notice, if applicable.
Author Responsibilities
By submitting a manuscript to IJAACS, authors confirm that:
-
The submission is original, unpublished, and not under consideration elsewhere.
-
All sources and quotations are properly cited.
-
A plagiarism declaration form (if required) will be submitted upon request.
